When the children return to their classrooms from playing outside at recess, Carrie and the others swoop in to clean up any food littering the playground. The crows gather in a roost tree and get to know other crow families. This is where courtships develop and bonding with a mate is the result. Carrie meets Chuck, a newcomer from a distant family. After a sudden storm, Carrie rescues Chuck and learns that sharing is not a bad idea after all.
